Brent Bergeron
Brent served as an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer for 30 years, with 25 years dedicated to high-profile criminal investigations, including drug trafficking and terrorism. He held significant roles in the Crime Unit, Drug Enforcement and Mobile Surveillance Unit. In 2015, he was promoted to Detective Sergeant and, in 2016, led a tactical review of the Mobile Surveillance Unit's Counter Terrorism Capabilities, collaborating with specialized law enforcement personnel across Canada and the UK. Upon retiring, in January 2018, he worked in Security Consulting to address training gaps in terrorism and active shooter awareness. He offers comprehensive training and consulting on radicalization, active shooters, surveillance, and counter-surveillance. He continues to instruct at the OPP Academy and Ontario Police College, co-authoring revised Mobile Surveillance training standards and delivering and workshops on detecting hostile surveillance

John D. Chalmers
John Chalmers has over 35 years of experience in policing, including roles in Uniform Patrols, Marine Unit, Tactical Unit, Criminal Investigations, and Provincial BEATT. He is a Use of Force Instructor and tactical instructor specializing in entries, sniper techniques, and close quarter protection.
John has trained personnel in both Canada and the US. At South Simcoe Police Service, he established and supervised units such as Traffic and Marine, Community Mobilization and Engagement, Emergency Response Team, Snowmobile Unit, and RPAS (Drone) Unit. He also managed significant portions of the police budget and business cases for unit training and purchases.
John has provided situational and threat assessments, security needs analysis, and training for various companies, and helped draft operational plans for major events like the G-20 and G-8 Summits. He continues to work in personnel management, leadership, and team management, collaborating with police services and private companies like Friday Harbour and MLSE for their security needs and training.

Shawn Laurence
Team Operator and Sergeant with Toronto's SWAT
Unit (Emergency Task Force). He has resolved over 1,700
high-risk incidents, including hostage rescues, warrant
service, barricaded subjects, high-risk escorts, close
protection, and crisis resolution. An experienced negotiator,
Shawn has been involved in several high-profile incidents
and has trained new negotiators for the Emergency Task
Force. Shawn is a trained member of the Anti-Terrorism
Accreditation Board (ATAB) for the USA and Canada, with
expertise in counterterrorism, counterintelligence, maritime
security, cybersecurity, and celebrity/executive protection.
