Hatem Amin, CEO

Hatem Amin is a highly experienced security professional with over 25 years of expertise in various fields including Security, Special Operations, Investigations, and Close Protection Operations. His career began in 1991 when he joined the Egyptian Ministry of Interior as a Police Officer, serving in departments such as Interior Investigation, Special Operations, and VIP Protection until 2006. Throughout his tenure in the police force, Hatem actively participated in numerous high-risk special operations and protection assignments, demonstrating both his leadership skills and operational capabilities. He successfully supervised and led a considerable number of police officers, efficiently managing large amounts of equipment and budgets during his service with the Ministry of Interior.
In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in New York City, Hatem's exceptional abilities were recognized, and he was chosen to lead the protection team for the U.S. Ambassador until 2006 when he joined the Bureau of Diplomatic Security in the U.S. Embassy of Cairo as a security and protection specialist, acting as the primary liaison between the Embassy and the Egyptian government. Hatem played a vital role in coordinating and executing high-profile protection operations for esteemed figures such as the President of the United States, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Congress Leaders, Senators, and Dignity Leaders. During his time at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Hatem was responsible for managing the protection operation for the Ambassador, overseeing the allocation of protection equipment and budget for the embassy. His outstanding performance in challenging environments earned him numerous superior and meritorious awards. Hatem holds a bachelor's degree in law and police science, and he has further enriched his knowledge and skills through various training courses in Investigation, Special Operations, Evasive Driving, Protection Operations, and Tactical Command. In 2015, Hatem immigrated to Canada and was enthusiastic about applying his expertise in the security, investigation, and protection field. He began his career in Canada as a security specialist, trainer, and consultant for different organizations in Ontario. Subsequently, he established himself as the CEO and founder of a risk management cooperation, where he currently leads the company.

North America Office

In 2015, he was promoted to Detective Sergeant and, in 2016, led a tactical review of the Mobile Surveillance Unit's Counter Terrorism Capabilities, collaborating with specialized law enforcement personnel across Canada and the UK.
Upon retiring, in January 2018, he worked in Security Consulting to address training gaps in terrorism and active shooter awareness. He offers comprehensive training and consulting on radicalization, active shooters, surveillance, and counter-surveillance. He continues to instruct at the OPP Academy and Ontario Police College, co-authoring revised Mobile Surveillance training standards and delivering and workshops on detecting hostile surveillance

John has trained personnel in both Canada and the US. At South Simcoe Police Service, he established and supervised units such as Traffic and Marine, Community Mobilization and Engagement, Emergency Response Team, Snowmobile Unit, and RPAS (Drone) Unit. He also managed significant portions of the police budget and business cases for unit training and purchases.
John has provided situational and threat assessments, security needs analysis, and training for various companies, and helped draft operational plans for major events like the G-20 and G-8 Summits. He continues to work in personnel management, leadership, and team management, collaborating with police services and private companies like Friday Harbour and MLSE for their security needs and training.

Team Operator and Sergeant with Toronto's SWAT Unit (Emergency Task Force). He has resolved over 1,700 high-risk incidents, including hostage rescues, warrant service, barricaded subjects, high-risk escorts, close protection, and crisis resolution. An experienced negotiator, Shawn has been involved in several high-profile incidents and has trained new negotiators for the Emergency Task Force.
Shawn is a trained member of the Anti-Terrorism Accreditation Board (ATAB) for the USA and Canada, with expertise in counterterrorism, counterintelligence, maritime security, cybersecurity, and celebrity/executive protection.

As a former Assistant Minister of Interior for Central Security in Egypt, Dr. Abu Arab has held key leadership positions within the General Administration of Central Security in Cairo, including Training Manager and Sector Manager. His international experience includes serving as an Egyptian Battalion Commander for MONUSCO in Congo and Team Leader for UNMIK in Kosovo, where he specialized in risk assessment, conflict resolution, and strategic security operations.
Dr. Abu Arab holds a PhD in Analytical Study from the Egyptian Police Academy and has published research on trainer development and fire protection in police stations. Fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Swahili, he plays a critical role in shaping Horus Risk Management Inc.’s strategic security initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa.

Salah El Gendy is a Senior Consultant at Horus Risk Management Inc., bringing over three decades of expertise in security operations, VIP protection, and risk management. A graduate of the Egyptian Police Academy, he has held high-ranking positions in law enforcement, international security, and corporate protection.
His extensive career includes serving as he held key roles within Egypt’s Ministry of Interior, including Head of Personal Security for the Arab League Secretary General and Protection Team Commander for high-profile international dignitaries.
With specialized training in counterterrorism, VIP protection, and crisis response—completed in the U.S., Korea, and Egypt—he has successfully secured international summits, Arab League conferences, and high-risk diplomatic missions. Fluent in Arabic and English, Salah continues to play a vital role in enhancing security strategies for Horus Risk Management Inc. across the Middle East and North Africa.

A highly skilled instructor, he has led over 20 specialized training programs designed to enhance operational readiness for security personnel and law enforcement officers.
